As winter casts its spell, the landscapes around Lappi Farm transform. Formerly known as Snowy River Cabins, our renovated and reimagined retreat invites you to soak up the magic of the season. With the ski resorts nearby under a blanket of snow, winter is the perfect time to escape to Lappi Farm.

Our cabins have been beautifully renovated with upgraded queen beds, and we've added glass doors, so you can wake up to panoramic views of the river and farmland without leaving the warmth of your bed.

Winter's serenity

Snow rarely settles at the farm itself, but frosty mornings turn the landscape white and the snowfields are only about 75 minutes away. Picture yourself strolling along the riverbank, taking in the crisp air and the quiet of a winter's morning.

Things to do in winter

Whether you're after outdoor adventure or cosy downtime, there's something for everyone. Explore the nature trails, take a canoe out on the river, or head up to Thredbo or Perisher for a day on the snow. After a day out in the cold, unwind in our traditional wood-fired sauna and let the warmth melt away any lingering chill.

Winter weekends fill up quickly, so book early to secure your dates. If you're driving to the ski resorts, carry properly fitted snow chains between the June and October long weekends, and check the latest road and travel advisories before you go.
